Where is Ross University?

Where in the world is Ross University and that little island where it is located, Dominican Republic, or I mean Dominica. First if you have not yet figured it out yet Ross is located on Dominica which is a LONG way from the Dominican Republic. Dominica is a small island located in the lower Caribbean among the West Indies between the French islands of Martinique and Guadalupe. The island is inhabited by 85,000 people mostly descendents of the slave trade and a few of the original Carib Indians.

The island uses the East Caribbean dollar which trades at EC$2.67 to US$1 but EVERYBODY accepts the US dollar usually at a rate of EC$2.60 to US$1. The island has two small airports and the capital city of Roseau (pronounced Ro-zo sort of like bozo) is located on the Southwest side of the island. Ross University is located on the Northwest side of the island about 20 miles or a one hour drive from Roseau.

The language and of Ross University is English but the locals all speak both English and a patois which is a cross between French and English.

As you will very quickly learn there is only one good way to get to Dominica being via air and American Eagle is the only US airline that operates in Dominica with service through San Juan, Puerto Rico.
