Albuterol is a selective b1 agonist.

Atropine muscarinic antagonist.

Benzatropine is a tertiary amine that helps treat Parkinson’s

Bethanechol choline ester that only works on muscarinic receptors and is antagonized by atropine.

Botulinum toxin blocks the release of ACh from the presynaptic membrane.

Carbachol choline ester that stimulates muscarinic receptors and also has some effects on nicotinic receptors.

Clonidine is a selective a2 agonist.

Cyclopentolate is a tertiary amine used ophthalmologicly to cause mydriasis

Dobutamine is a selective b1 agonist.

Echothiophate is an organophosphate.

Endrophonium is a cholinesterase inhibitor.

Epinephrine is a nonselective a and b agonist.

Hemicholiniums are a class of drugs that block the uptake of choline into cholinergic nerve terminals.

Homatropine is a tertiary amine used ophthalmologicly to cause mydriasis

Ipratropium is the quaternary amine we need to know that helps treat asthma.  It is not as effective as b2 agonists like albuterol but has fewer adverse effects.

Isoflurophate is an organophosphate.

Isoproterenol is a nonselective b agonist.

Latrotoxin causes an explosive release of ACh.

Methoxamine is a selective a1 agonist.

Muscarin activates muscarinic receptors.

Muscarine is another natural alkaloid with no clinical use.

Neostigmine is a cholinesterase inhibitor.

Nicotine stimulates nicotinic receptors.

Norepinephrine is a b1 and nonselective a agonist.

Obidoxine is another anti-aging drug.

Phenylephrine is a selective a1 agonist.

Physostigmine blocks ACh metabolism by acetlycholinesterase.

Physostigmine is a cholinesterase inhibitor.

Pilocarpine is a natural alkaloid that stimulates M1, M3 and M3 receptors and is able to enter the CNS (causes tremor, headache, arousal, excitation).  It is clinically used only for open-angle glaucoma.

Pirenzepine is a tertiary amine which is the selective M1 blocker for GI and GU

Pralidoxime is an anti-aging drug.

Scopolamine is a tertiary amine used for motion sickness and sedation

Tacrine is a cholinesterase inhibitor.

Terbutaline is a selective b1 agonist.

Trimethaphan blocks Nn receptors.

Tropicamide is a tertiary amine used ophthalmologicly to cause mydriasis

Turbocurarine blocks the Nm receptors.
